We cover your entire deductible (from $500 - $2500). The deductible is reimbursed after your primary insurance provider has accepted your claim.

We do not cover your deductible if the claim under your Auto Insurance Policy has been denied or is less than your deducible amount.

We do not cover any claims that are less than your deductible. For example, if your auto insurance deductible is $1000, and damages on your claim are less than $1000, we will not cover that claim.

A deductible reimbursement plan is a supplemental protection policy that pays you back for your insurance deductible after a covered claim. If you’re in an accident or your vehicle is damaged, you’ll still pay your deductible to your insurance company — but with a reimbursement plan, you can file a claim with American Deductible and get that money refunded.

No. Unfortunately, we do not cover damages to or replacements of windshields.
Our coverage does not extend to damage to vehicles that have been stolen. We recommend taking preventive measures such as installing anti-theft devices and following local laws and guidelines to minimize the risk of theft and protect your valuable assets.
Your policy will start as soon as you have paid your first month's policy fee to American Deductible.
But, you must wait 30 days before you are eligible to file a claim.
The same 30 day wait period also applies to policies that were cancelled and then reinstated.

Your policy coverage will stop 30 days after you stop paying your monthly, 6-month, or annual policy. You can cancel coverage at any time by visiting your My Account page and viewing your active policies.

Filing a claim is simple. Just visit our claims page, fill out the claim form and submit all relevant documentation.

We have a 30 day wait period for all new customers prior to being eligible to file a claim. This 30 days wait period also applies to restarted policies after cancellation.

For all policies less than 60 days old or for renewed policies less than 60 days old, we require a dated police report to accompany all claims.

We also require proof from your primary insurance provider stating the initial date of your claim with them, and proof that your claim has been accepted by your primary insurance provider.

No. We do not cover deductibles for Home Warranty plans at this time.
We only cover deductibles on Home Insurance policies.

Many of our customers have been able to save even more money by increasing their existing deductible with their primary insurance provider to lower their monthly premiums. Then taking those savings and purchasing deductible coverage with American Deductible, often times resulting in more savings AND full deductible coverage.

Go to your My Account page by first logging in at AmericanDeductible.com.
Select the policy you would like to update your payment method for and enter your updated information.
Yes. At any time you can upgrade your coverage to a higher deductible.

You must use our ticketing system below to submit a request to increase your deductible coverage.

Make sure you select "Update/Modify Policy" in the "How can we help" section. Also, please include your policy number.

Then tell us how you would like us to update/modify your policy.

For month-to-month policies the new deductible amount will take place AFTER the next billing cycle.

For long-term policies you will be billed the difference in a one-time pro-rated payment for the remaining months on your long term policy.
If you cancel your policy within 24 hours after the renewal date, you will receive a 90% refund of the premium. For monthly term policies, no refunds will be issued for cancellations occurring after 24 hours of the renewal date, and all such sales are final. For policies with 6-month and 12-month terms, you have one week from after the renewal date to receive a 90% refund and one month from after the renewal date to receive a 50% refund. After one month, no refunds are available.
You can update your vehicles or drivers by going to your MY ACCOUNT dashboard and then selecting MY POLICY INFO.

From there, VIEW your policy from the list. Scroll down to POLICY DETAILS. From there you can update your Drivers and/or Vehicles.

If you need to add a driver or vehicle, you must use our ticketing system below to submit a request to update your vehicles or drivers.

Make sure you select "Update/Modify Policy" in the "How can we help" section. Also, please include your policy number.

Then tell us the driver* and/or vehicle you would like to add.

*Driver must be over 21 years of age.
You can only add your children as drivers to our deductible coverage policies if they are 21 years of age or older.
You can still include the extra vehicle under our coverage, but it will only be covered if you or someone else listed on your policy is over 21.
